Discovering the Tena Valley – Basque Country (Spain)
Located in the Pyrenees, in the north of the province of Huesca, this valley of glacier origin is surrounded by high peaks like Tendeñera or the Anayet and the great massif of Balaitus-Panticosa,declared Reserve of the Biosphere together with the valleys of Ordesa and Monte Perdido.
Due to its glacier origin, its relief is formed by deep valleys and an enormous number of lakes. There are also thermal springs that supply the Panticosa Balneary, surrounded by peaks of more than 3.000 meters, such as the Garmo Negro or the Picos de Infierno. In addition, two of the most important ski resorts of the Pyrenees, Formigal and Panticosa, are located here. A great destiny for different hiking and cycling routes, gastronomic experiences, and good rest.
