ITINERARY
1st day Thursday: Athens
Arrival in Athens. Our assistant will be waiting you for the transfer from the airport to the Hotel. Take advantage of your assistant local tips and start a stroll through the center of Athens for a first taste of the city.
2nd day Friday: Athens City tour – Optional
The Athens city tour will be passing through the main highlights of the city. We start from Hadrian’s Arch and continue visiting the Panathinaiko Stadium (also known as Kalimarmaro), which was originally built in 329 BC, and where the first Olympics of the modern era were held in 1896. We continue to the main square of the city named “Syntagma ” square (Constitution), where the presidential guard is located. With its typical costumes, the so called” Evzonos ” make the change of guard in front of the Greek parliament and the Tomb of the unknown soldier. After we continue the panoramic tour visiting the Neoclassical buildings of Athens such as the College, the library, and the Academy, and finally we will visit Acropolis and Parthenon, this magnificent monument built in 447 BC during the golden age of Pericles dedicated to Goddess Athena. We will appreciate the Propylaea, temple of Athens Nike, Erechtheum and all its magnificent constructions. After Acropolis we will visit the Acropolis Museum, a building of a modern architecture, hosting the unique antiquities from the Acropolis.
Enjoy the free afternoon to discover the center of Athens around Acropolis, strolling through Monastiraki, Plaka and Thissio, enjoying the pleasant sites of the ancient city.
3rd day Saturday: Alimos Marina – Yacht Cruise
We leave the Hotel and transfer to Alimos Marina. On arrival at marina, our representative will meet you for the check in procedures until 17:00 o’clock.
Overnight: Alimos Marina
4th day Sunday: Sounio and Kea
Departure from Athens towards the island of Kea. On the way we will stop for a short swim in the bay of Cape Sounio where the Temple of Poseidon is located looking at the entrance to the Aegean Sea. Departure and arrival on the island of Kea at the port of Coressia in the afternoon.
Overnight: Kea port
5th day Monday: Syros
In the morning departure and sailing to the island of Syros. Syros and the capital of the archipelago of of Cyclades. The port has a classic architecture, and, in the city, there is the “Apollon” theater that its architect had influences from Italian theaters and thus being very similar to the Scala of Milan. Overnight: Syros
6th day Tuesday: Mykonos- Delos
We will sail to the island of Mykonos passing through Delos. This island is one of the most important archaeological sites that are part of Greek history and mythology. Delos was considered in Greek mythology as a sacred sanctuary, which would be the place where the gods Apollo and Artemis were born. Arrival in Mykonos. Mykonos is known as the “jet-set” island. The picturesque center of the island with its characteristic cobbled streets is called “hour” and is the place where you can shop day and night, but also experience the island’s famous nightlife that lasts until sunrise. Overnight: Mykonos
7th day Wednesday: Mykonos or Tinos
This day you can enjoy more of the island of Mykonos. We explore the island, which has a wide range of beaches and beach bars, each with different characteristics.
Alternatively, departure to the island of Tinos. The island has many beautiful beaches and great cuisine at its local restaurants. Tinos is also known for having the Virgin Mary church one of the most famous in Greece. In its high mountains you can have a wonderful view of the Aegean.
Overnight: Mykonos or Tinos
8th day Thursday: Kythnos
Morning departure to the island of Kythnos. We will arrive at Kythnos, where we will be able to swim in Loutra Bay. Overnight: Kythnos Loutra
9th day Friday: Athens
In the morning we leave the island of Kythnos towards Athens. We will stop at the island of Patroklos for a swim and in the afternoon arrive in Athens. Overnight: Alimos Marina
10th day Saturday: Athens
In the morning check out from the yacht and transfer to the hotel. Arrival at the hotel and check in. Enjoy your last night in Athens and experience the spectacular Greek cuisine that is the basis of the Mediterranean diet and follow with a typical Greek drink “ouzo” or a good Greek wine and discover the real nightlife that Athens offers.
11th day: Return
At a designated time, transfer from your hotel
to the airport.
